Children of Time $2.99 ebook deal
Adrian Tchaikovsky's Children of TIme is $2.99 at Kobo, Amazon, and probably B&N 'for a limited time'. I've had this on my wishlist for a while and this is the first discount I've seen for it.

And I now note that on its Kindle and Kobo webpages, Witch King is now said to be "The Rising World Book 1". Which kind of implies there may be a Book 2 someday, although I don't see it listed at either Kindle or Kobo US. So maybe I'll get my wish for a sequel...

Witch King has such a weird structure, and plot progression. I didn't think it was great, but I appreciated it doing something different.
The Butcher of the Forest by Premee Mohamed is $2 in the North America (Kobo US, Amazon.com) Novella. Was on my wishlist. Quote:

This is the 2018 anthology of Twelve Tomorrows. There's a new one almost every year.
Note that some of the stories have appeared in later author collections. Table of contents: https://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/pl.cgi?659620 Last edited by salty-horse; 06-10-2024 at 05:03 AM. |

The Budayeen Cycle is again on sale, this time below $5, as predicted:
https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/the-budayeen-cycle https://www.amazon.com/Budayeen-Cycl...dp/B0741QZVZ7/ I've finished the first since posting the deal a couple months back, and am about halfway through the second title. Whether you've paid $4 or $5 for it, I'd say it's worth it. |

Yeah, that's why I had to try really hard to get into it. If I hadn't had a review copy, and "owed" the review, I might even have given up. Or if I hadn't liked the Murderbot books so much, so was willing to persist a bit more than if I hadn't had experience with Wells. But once I figured it out, mostly about the structure/two timelines, and how to know which one I was in, I really really liked it. And I loved the finely-tuned snark, and the found family.
